Franz Elementary opened its doors in August 2004. The staff, students, and parents continue to strive for academic excellence and a high-quality education. Franz has established a warm, friendly, family-oriented atmosphere enhanced by high levels of parent and community involvement.

Franz Elementary's instructional program includes a full-time nurse, librarian and counselor; specialty teachers for art, music and physical education; Academic Support; Title I program; Bilingual and ESOL programs; speech and language therapy; special education and early childhood programs; and the Challenge Program for gifted and talented learners.

At Franz, technology is integrated into the curriculum so that students successfully use it as a tool for lifelong learning. This vision is achieved through appropriate hardware, software, and staff development in the effective use of technologies. The technology program is supported by a computerized learning resource center, 1 to 1 device programs, interactive Smart panels in each classroom, and use of online resources throughout the curriculum.

Students in grades K-5 are involved in a balanced literacy curriculum. We encourage our students to become lifelong readers and learners by empowering them in their journey as learners.

Enrichment is provided for students through the Science Enrichment Lab and Junior Achievement; writing enrichment events; field days; Student Council, 5th grade school safety patrol; and choir and percussion programs.
