October 27 – October 29 : Submit all entries to the Franz library
October 29: (3:40 p.m..) Deadline for all entries.
October 30: Judging will take place. No additional entries will be accepted.
October 30: All pumpkins will be sent home with students. Any pumpkins left
after 3:40 p.m. will be thrown away.
November 3: Winners will be announced on the Morning Announcements.

Katy ISD & Area First Responders Join Forces for  2025 School Safety Forum

First responders and emergency personnel from across the region joined their Katy ISD counterparts and school principals today for the 2025 Annual First Responder Forum. The event emphasized collaboration and partnership through an integrated, area-wide emergency response strategy to ensure the safety of students and staff as the school year approaches.

Katy ISD Board Member Earns Master Trustee Distinction

Modeling a commitment to lifelong learning, Katy ISD Board Secretary Dawn Champagne has earned the Master Trustee distinction from the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB), for completing this year’s Leadership TASB program.   

Katy ISD Board Approves  2025-26 Compensation Plan

The Katy ISD Board of Trustees has approved the compensation plan for the 2025 - 2026 school year, reinforcing the district’s commitment to attracting and retaining top-tier educators and staff. The plan reflects funding made available through House Bill 2, signed into law by the Texas Governor during the 89th Legislative Session, as well as additional local investments. Together, these resources will support pay increases for teachers and other staff across the district.
